Awwww... Chai! Thank you! That was so wonderful. It really brightened my day, erhmmm... night
I appreciate the open ear girls. I am just a bit saddened that often there are too many people that see Darren as a business. Does that make sense? No, maybe it doesn't :-S</font></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></BLOCKQUOTE>
Yes that makes sense Laurie! A couple of months ago I became very disillusioned with the way Darren things were being handled. I posted and received so much support from all you ladies. However, one very amazing reply helped me put everything back into perspective:
"I'm sorry you are feeling down Barb.
Let me tell you a short story that maybe will help. A long time ago there was a girl who got so involved with certain people that she lost sight of why she adored Savage Garden and Darren in the first place. She became far more interested in the politics of fans and things involving Darren that really, were not any business to any fan.
And then a time came when she realized that that is not at all why she a Fan. What other fans did was not her business and how Darren chose to do things was also none of her business, but what was her business was to take the music he made and find pleasure in that. So... she let go of it all and became a Fan once again. And you know what... I feel 200% better because of that decision.
For me, nothing he does is my business, none of it. I am his Fan, that is all. I am not his mom, his lover, his manager, his sister - I am none of those things; and for me, it is not my business how he chooses to do certain things in his business and personal life. If you get to involved in all of that... well, then you are not a Fan. At least, that is how I feel about it.
Let it go Barb. Be a Fan. That is all we should be and that is a very good thing
*Hugs*
Laurie"
Huge smooshy hugs to you Laurie
As long as we recognize Darren for who/what he is and embrace what he gives us through his music, that should be all that matters?
Hope that makes sense!
May tomorrow be a better day
